CENTER TO BLESS SAMESEX RELATIONSHIPS/MARRIAGES
The Rocky Mountain Center for Progressive Faith and Works announced today that it will go forward with a plan to offer faith based blessings for samesex partnerships. The Center will provide a confidential matching service between couples who seek a blessing of their relationship or of a civil marriage and clergy from all faith groups in Canada willing to offer such blessings.
Frank Doe the Center’s Executive Director said the first step will be to establish a confidential list of ordained clergy who wish to participate. The list and process needs to be confidential as many clergy fear retribution from senior denominational officials who continue to discriminate against homosexuals.
